L-Lysine (Jarrow)

Dosage: 500 mg

Size: 100 Capsules

• Essential Amino Acid for Protein Metabolism
• May Be Helpful for Cold Sores
• Assists in Collagen Formation and Tissue Repair
• May Assist in Surgery and Sports Injury Recovery

Lysine is an essential amino acid and therefore cannot be manufactured by the body. It is a necessary building block for all protein. Because it helps build muscle protein, it is good for those recovering from surgery and sports injury. It also helps to lower triglyceride levels. This amino acid is thought to aid in the production of antibodies, hormones and enzymes, and helps in collagen formation and tissue repair.

Taking supplemental L-Lysine, together with Vitamin C, can help fight herpes breakouts, especially if the foods containing the amino acid arginine are avoided: (carob, chocolate, coconut, dairy products, meat, oats, peanuts, soybeans, walnuts, white flour, wheat and wheat germ).

Suggested Use: Take 1 to 3 capsules per day, preferably on an empty stomach, or as directed by your qualified health consultant. Keep tightly closed, away from moisture. DO NOT refrigerate.
