Because a woman on the average modern diet will be lacking in Omega-3, Flax Bloom provides twice as much Omega-3 as Omega-6 to provide the crucial Omega-3s needed to build a healthy brain and body for the baby. The brain is developed in utero and supplementation with Essential Fatty Acids during this time aids in the "hardwiring" process in the brain of a newborn for things such as vision, feelings, movement and language, it can even help sleeping patterns!

The blackcurrant and evening primrose seed oils contribute the secondary Omega-3, stearidonic acid (SDA) and the secondary Omega-6, gamma linolenic acid (GLA), which are easier for your body to utilize because no conversion is required, ensuring your developing baby has the building blocks they need for a healthy brain, eye and nervous system and for general health of all body cells.

The pumpkin seed oil provides phytosterols (which possess anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidation activities) and a wide range of vitamins (E and A) and minerals (selenium, zinc, calcium, copper, iron, manganese). The coconut oil provides lauric acid, which is the main fatty acid in breast milk and contributes to increased metabolic rate/energy levels and healthy skin.

Adult Suggested Use: Take 1-2 Tablespoons (15 - 30 ml) daily mixed with juice, water, milk or food, or as directed by a qualified health care provider. Before and after pregnancy, when using other Waihi Bush Oils, it is suggested to change to (one bottle) of Flax Balance every 6 months to ensure proper Omega-3 to Omega-6 ratio.

Flax Bloom is pressed from certified organic seeds of flax Linum usitatissimum (Linseed) golden flax, pumpkin and coconut. Uncertified blackcurrant and evening primrose seed oils are added. The oil is high quality, extra virgin, unrefined, and containing no toxic substances or cholesterol. The oils are cold pressed in the absence of light, air and reactive metals and packaged in black HDPE plastic under an inert gas blanket to further protect it against light and oxygen.

Storage: Once opened, keep refrigerated and use within 6-8 weeks. Can be frozen. Product NOT used for cooking. See base for Best Before Date and Batch No.
